Blackboard Vista will be down Dec 23 (noon) through Dec 28.

Blackboard Vista's hosting and support services will be migrating from CTDLC to Blackboard, Inc. in time for the start of Winter classes on Dec 29th. Student Self-Service and Faculty and Advisor Self-Service will remain during this time. Thanks for your understanding as we strive to improve service and reliability to all students and faculty.

Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) browser is NOT compatible with Blackboard Vista

The new Internet Explorer 8 browser may be released in November 2008 or shortly thereafter. This browser version is not compatible with Blackboard Vista. We recommend that you DO NOT install or upgrade to this version as it does not work with Blackboard Vista and is very difficult to uninstall.
 

• If your browser prompts you for an automatic upgrade to IE8, do not accept this upgrade.
• If you have your IE browser set to automatically accept updates, you can change the setting to not automatically accept updates.

To Change Your Automatic Update Setting:

If you do not want your IE browser to automatically check for and download updates, on your menu go to:

1. Tools-->Internet Options-->Advanced Tab
2. Make sure "Automatically check for Internet Explorer updates" is NOT checked.
